Hello everyone !
Today has been quite a long day with a lot of travelling !
We left the Nairobi hotel at 6.30 to catch our flight to Lilongwe in Malawi, for the second leg of our trip. We travel there with Viren from the Global Tea and Commodities and arrive in Lilongwe by 10 am. We are welcomed there by Pannu who is the manager of the Malawi estates.
Then we start the long drive up North to the Kawalazi plantation. We got there at around 5pm so it was indeed quite tiring. But we already learnt a lot about the tea business in Malawi on the way there and certainly enjoyed looking at the splendid views of the landscape around us.
On arrival we meet the managers of the Kawalazi plantation and they show us a detailed presentation of their plantation and their projects there.
Tonight Peter and I are the host of Pannu and we have been shown our quarters, very nice !
Looking forward to a nice and relaxing evening before a very busy day tomorrow !
Good night !
